Protecting your right to consent
We will seek your consent for the collection, use or disclosure of your information. There are two kinds of consent: express and implied. Express consent is explicit, and obtained through verbal or written means. Implied consent is inferred when the purpose for which personal information is collected is obvious by the very nature of the transaction. Personal information may be collected from you directly or from third parties including public and private agencies. This is always done fairly and lawfully. On occasion, we may need to share your personal information with agencies that we report to such as Vancouver Youth Soccer Association or the B.C. Soccer Association or if the information is involved in the prevention or detection of crime. We may also occasionally share information with other soccer clubs where player transfers are involved. These organizations are limited in how they may use your information and are obligated to protect the privacy of what they have been entrusted with. You may decline or revoke your consent to the collection, use or disclosure of personal information for the purposes of providing you information in respect of our programs and upcoming events. You may also decline or revoke your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information for player transfer purposes, but in some instances, this will render us unable to provide a transfer as requested.
To decline or revoke your consent, notify our Chief Privacy Officer in writing at the address indicated above.
This document may be amended from time to time. You may always obtain our most up-to-date version by contacting our Chief Privacy Officer or visiting this website.
