League Play
Divisional league play is open for boys born (1999-1992), grades 5-12. Boys play under the umbrella of the Vancouver Youth Soccer Association. Dunbar teams are part of the Four District League which includes play against teams from Richmond, Burnaby, North Vancouver and West Vancouver. At U11, boys will play 8 aside against other Vancouver clubs. At U12, they will continue to play 8 aside but against 4 District teams. The current season’s (08/09) divisional players are grouped according to their age:
U11: Born 1999 U12: Born 1998 U13: Born 1997
U14: Born1996 U15: Born 1995 U16: Born 1994
U17: Born 1993 U18: Born 1992

The regular season starts in early September and continues through to mid-March. There is a break for Christmas. Parallel to the regular season, teams participate in various “cups” .These cup games are played on specific “cup” weekends or on some Sundays or times outside of the regular games. Information for U12-U18, such as standings and schedules, are at BC Soccer Central.
Player Evaluations
Players are streamed from U12-U18 into three levels, gold and silver (competitive) and bronze (more recreational). Commitment to the team is paramount at all levels. Player evaluations are held in the spring prior to the upcoming season. Information on dates, times and locations will be on our website.
Equipment and Uniforms
Divisional players supply their own mandatory shin pads and soccer cleats. Black shorts are available from the club for about $20.
Players receive socks and a Dunbar game jersey. The jersey is returned at the end of the season.
Registration
Registration can now be done online. Players in U11 and any new players to Dunbar Soccer, must submit a copy of their birth certificate so the registration form can be processed. This enables players to receive a player ID number which they will have throughout divisional soccer. Divisional players must be registered no later than June 15 of each year.
