League Play
Divisional league play is open for girls born (1999-1992), grades 5-12. Girls play under the umbrella of the Vancouver Youth Soccer Association. Dunbar teams are part of the BC Coastal Girls Soccer League which includes play against teams from Richmond, Burnaby, North Vancouver, Surrey/ Delta and West Vancouver and other lower mainland clubs.

At U-11 and U-12 girls play 8 aside against other Vancouver and Richmond clubs. At U-13 they play 11 aside but against BCCGSL teams. The current season’s (09/10) divisional players are grouped according to their age:
U11: Born 1999 U12: Born 1998 U13: Born 1997
U14: Born1996 U15: Born 1995 U16: Born 1994
U17: Born 1993 U18: Born 1992
The regular season starts in early September and continues through to mid-March. There is a break for Christmas. Parallel to the regular season, teams participate in various “cups” .These cup games are played on specific “cup” weekends or on times outside of the regular games. Player Evaluations
Players are streamed at U-12 into two levels, gold (competitive) and silver (recreational), from U-13 to U-18 they can be streamed into three levels, Gold (Competitive) Silver (still competitive) and Bronze (more recreational). Commitment to the team is paramount at all levels. Player evaluations are held in the spring prior to the upcoming season. Information on dates, times and locations will be on our website.
Equipment and Uniforms
Divisional players supply their own mandatory shin pads and soccer cleats. Black shorts are available from the club for about $20.
Players receive socks and a Dunbar game jersey. The jersey is returned at the end of the season.
Registration
Registration can now be done online. Players in U11 or new players to Dunbar Soccer must submit a copy of their birth certificate so the registration form can be processed. This enables players to receive a player ID number which they will have throughout divisional soccer. Divisional players must be registered no later than June 15 of each year.
