Open Tryout for all players (Note: this is a change from the info included in the attachment communicated at the information meeting held on March 24)

Wednesday April 1st 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. @ Prince of Wales (South)
Invitation only for all invited players and current U13 Vancouver District Gold Players

Metro is an elite girl’s league for the top age group players. The VYSA district aims to enter a team for each age group u-14 and up, based in the Vancouver area. Eleven a-side games are played against teams in a seven district league which includes teams from Vancouver Island in addition to teams from the 5 districts.

Vancouver is uniquely challenged when it comes to compiling an elite team. Not only is our pool of soccer players comparatively small, but the best players are divided amongst the many small clubs in our district. In order for our Metro teams to be competitive in their league, the support and cooperation of the various clubs in the district is essential.

Dunbar Soccer Club has always been very active in the Metro program and is proud of the many players who have been selected over the years. We are also working with the district to improve the selection process not only for the players but also for the coaching staff.
